Does ICICI's MakeMyTrip offer work without EMI?
ICICI cards get 10% off a domestic flight on MakeMyTrip, up to ₹1,800, when paid in full, but only on Mondays. EMI codes work every day.
Yes, but only on a Monday. Pay for a domestic flight on MakeMyTrip in full with an ICICI Bank credit card, enter the code FLYMON, and the fare drops by 10%, up to ₹1,800, on a booking of ₹5,000 or more. On other days the discount needs credit card EMI: the code ICICIEMI takes 12% off a domestic flight, up to ₹2,000, on ₹4,000 or more. Both offers run from 1 October to 31 December 2026.
Two ICICI cards get neither. The terms exclude the Amazon Pay ICICI card and both versions of the MakeMyTrip ICICI card, Rupay and Mastercard, from the EMI offer and from the Monday offer.
Two offers, two calendars
ICICI’s festive terms carry two separate MakeMyTrip offers. Each has its own codes, days and use limits.
The first is called Always On EMI. It works every day of the period, and only on credit card EMI that the terms describe as customer interest bearing. Domestic flights get 12%, up to ₹2,000, on ₹4,000 or more. International flights get 12%, up to ₹10,000, with the code ICICIINTEMI. Domestic hotels get 15%, up to ₹10,000, on ₹2,000 or more. Each card can use it once per category for the whole period, which means one domestic flight booking between October and December.
The second is the Weekly Offer. It runs for the whole of every Monday, and it is the only one that pays on a full card payment. Domestic flights get 10%, up to ₹1,800, on ₹5,000 or more with FLYMON. International flights get 10%, up to ₹7,500, on ₹15,000 or more with MMTICICIINT. Domestic hotels get 15%, up to ₹5,000, on ₹4,000 or more with ICICILUXURY. The Monday table also lists EMI codes, such as FLYMONEMI, at the same rates as the everyday EMI offer.
The Monday limit is looser. The terms allow one booking per card per calendar month with the code, so a card can take the Monday flight discount in October, again in November and again in December.
Where the ceilings stop the discount
At the ₹5,000 minimum, FLYMON takes ₹500 off. The ₹1,800 ceiling fills at a base fare of ₹18,000, and a costlier domestic flight still gets ₹1,800. On EMI the ₹2,000 ceiling fills earlier, at about ₹16,667. A Monday hotel booking paid in full reaches its ₹5,000 ceiling at a base price of about ₹33,333.
The percentage is worked on the base fare. For flights the terms leave out the convenience fee, taxes and add-ons such as meals and insurance. For hotels they use the pre-tax room price. A checkout total of ₹5,000 can fall below the minimum once taxes come off.
Take a domestic flight with a base fare of ₹18,000 and nothing else on the bill. Booked on a Monday with FLYMON, the card is charged ₹16,200. Booked on EMI with ICICIEMI, it is charged ₹16,000. The EMI route takes ₹200 more off, and then it adds charges of its own.
What the EMI costs
The everyday offer is on interest-bearing EMI. The terms say the bank bills any processing fee and other EMI charges on your statement. They do not return the interest, and they do not state the processing fee. If the interest and fee on your plan come to more than the extra ₹200, the Monday full payment costs less on that fare.
The Monday section is less clear. One line describes the discount as paid through credit cards and credit card no-cost EMI. Another says processing fee and interest on EMI, if any, are charged on the statement. The EMI screen at checkout shows which applies to your plan.
What the fine print carries
A cancellation, full or partial, voids the discount under both offers, and you still pay any fare difference and cancellation fees. If the discount does not show up, the terms give you three months from the booking date to claim it through MakeMyTrip’s support page.
Neither offer works with MakeMyTrip’s wallet bonus, third-party wallets, debit cards, net banking or gift cards. Corporate and business cards are excluded. Add-on cards count as separate cards, so each has its own use. The Monday domestic flight offer does not apply to Book Now Pay Later, and the EMI flight offer does not apply to multi-city bookings. Neither can be combined with another MakeMyTrip offer.
What the booking earns
An Emeralde Private Metal earns 6 reward points per ₹200 as its base rate. Its travel rate, 36 points per ₹200 on flights, applies only through ICICI’s iShop. A MakeMyTrip booking is outside iShop, so the ₹16,200 Monday charge earns 486 points at the base rate. The same ₹18,000 fare booked on iShop earns 3,240 points and gets no MakeMyTrip discount. Neither the card’s record nor the offer terms say whether a booking converted to EMI earns points.
The two excluded cards earn in their own way. The MakeMyTrip ICICI card earns 3 myCash per ₹100 on MakeMyTrip flights, which on ₹18,000 is 540 myCash. The Amazon Pay ICICI card’s record carves flight and hotel bookings made through Amazon Pay out of its Amazon rate, and the card gets no MakeMyTrip discount here.
What to check on your own booking
Check the day first. A full payment on any day but Monday gets no discount, and the FLYMON code does not apply on a Tuesday.
Enter the code before you pay, and look for the discount line on the payment page. If it is missing, the card may be on the excluded list, the base fare may be under the minimum, or the card may already have used its booking for that month or that category.
If you choose EMI, read the tenure, rate and processing fee on the EMI screen, and set them against the extra discount over the Monday code. On the first statement after the booking, look for the processing fee and the interest, and check that the points credited match the base rate.
Krediit keeps each card’s record beside the offers it can use, and shows the discount and the points a booking earns side by side before you pay.
